Cooking Demos
Join us for our local cooking demonstrations using products found at the market for a simple, healthy, and culturally celebratory recipe!
We are thrilled to host local chefs, Rodrigo and Mary from Comida Kin, monthly at Forest Grove and on special events at Cornelius. Rodrigo and Mary are chefs who use local, seasonal farm produce to create delicious Pacific Northwest inspired Mexican food with a passion for vegetables. Their goal is to highlight the bounty of produce and food items you can find at the market and inspire simple yet delicious recipes!

Power of Produce (POP) Kids Club
The Forest Grove Farmers Market, in partnership with other Washington County Farmers Markets, started a bilingual kids program called Market Sprouts in 2009. In 2024, we are changing the name to Power of Produce Kids Club, also known as POP Club, to align with national programs and expand our activities.
Studies have shown that exposing kids to more foods at a younger age creates a solid foundation for healthy eating habits throughout their lives. Adelante Farmers Market is working to help make this a reality for our youngest community members. Activities highlight seasonal produce and engaging kids from ages 5-12 in the local food system. Each week, participating kids get $2 in POP Bucks to spend on fresh fruits and vegetables at the market!

Waste Center and Durable Dishware
The farmers market provides durable (reusable) plates, bowls, utensils, cups, and cloth napkins to all prepared food vendors to serve their food on. All prepared food vendors serving ready-to-eat food participate in this program so you can eat your meal at the market. When you're finished, stop by the Waste Center booth for our waste and recycling education and drop off your dirty dishes.
